Personal Branding Before

Since my client was largely creating a personal brand, I offered to help with color palette, clothing, and style suggestions for my client to utilize while being photographed and speaking in front of a camera or audience.
Instead of autumn colors, I suggested spring, which seemed to go nicely with my client’s skin tone and color palette. I also suggested cuts of clothing based on suspected kibbe type, which also seemed to work in the final photo.
I researched a photographer in my client’s area, who had a great portfolio of portraits that featured well-lit subjects and dramatic dimensionality, which I thought would go well with the subject matter and my client’s brand.
Personal Branding After

Logo Before

The original Adobe Illustrator file was filled with many layers that didn’t need to be there, so I first cleaned things up in the provided postmark logo.
Next, I changed the colors to engage the logo into the brand archetype and storytelling. Purple is a color known for its association with domestic violence, so I knew I wanted to use that on the moon as a sort of protection and also include it for the word UNBREAKABLE. Teal is a strong color and so I wanted to show strength by utilizing this color in the hair of the survivor depicted in the logo and emphasize that connection by putting the SURVIVORS word in the same color.
I knew it would be important for my client to have logo options, so after I updated the colors for the primary logo, I created a postmark and secondary logo using the same colors and created a black and white version for each as well.

Podcast Image, Name, and First Episode

I put together the music for this podcast on Adobe Audition using sound cllips that were in a similar key to a song the client really enjoyed. The idea was to create an empowering, motivational, and upbeat background music that would do well to introduce the episode and uplifting vibe of the brand archetype: Jester.
The client recorded vocals at home, and then I edited the podcast together with the intro and outro that were intended to on every episode.
For the content of the episode, the client first wrote the content in Microsoft Word and recorded it. Because it was short and lacked a conversational tone, I updated the language and the client read it word for word to create the epiosde posted here.

Podcast Review

Social Media Profile Set-Up
Website Imagery
Results:
- 5-Star review on Apple Podcast.
- Social media accounts established and engaged with.
- Personal Brand images, logo adjustments, and other marketing planning elements were a success and are still in use today.
- Ultimately, the client realized that she wanted to focus on speaking and a low-cost membership and have less promotional tools, so she deleted the website and the podcast we established and is now using the website they were going to just use for speaking opportunities to promote speaking and a low-cost coaching program.
